Top legislator Wu Bangguo on Saturday returned to Beijing after concluding his visit to Southeast Asia.
The 11-day trip took Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the country's top legislature, to three countries of Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand.
During his visit, Wu met with government and parliament leaders of those countries on bilateral issues and relations between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
He witnessed the signing of a number of economic deals worth about 15 billion U.S. dollars.
Also back home were Wu's entourage, including his wife Zhang Ruizhen and other legislative and diplomatic officials.
