Wu said when meeting with speaker of Kenya's national assembly Kenneth Marende that China also attached great importance to expanding win-win cooperation within the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
Hailing the China-Kenya ties since forging diplomatic relations46 years ago, Wu said the two countries in recent years had made frequent high level visits, increased mutual political trust, and conducted smooth economic cooperation and fruitful cultural exchanges.
China and Kenya also maintained good coordination in international affairs, Wu said, noting that the bilateral relationship had entered a new phase of comprehensive and rapid growth.
The friendly parliamentary exchanges helped cement political and social basis for the China-Kenya ties, he said, hoping that the two parliaments would continue keeping the momentum of high level visits and increase cooperation between special committees and friendship groups.
He also hoped the two parliaments would enhance exchanges in experience of state governing and legislation supervision, and strengthen coordination in international and regional parliamentary organizations.
"This would help the growth of China-Kenya relations," he said.
Echoing Wu, Marende said his parliament was ready to expand friendly exchanges with the NPC, in an effort to promote the friendship between the two peoples and the two countries.
Applauding China's achievements in its social and economic progress, Marende said Kenya, as an unswerving friend of China, would work with the country to expand bilateral cooperation in agriculture, tourism, education and other sectors.
He reiterated that Kenya would, as always, firmly adhere to the one-China policy, and stand by the Chinese people's side.
Marende was here on a visit as guest of Wu from Oct. 21 to 26.
