China's top legislator pledges to boost cooperation with Malaysia

  Top legislator, Wu Bangguo, says China will encourage enterprises to step up cooperation with Malaysia’s easternmost state of Sabah.

  During a meeting with Sabah’s chief minister, Musa Aman, in the state's capital Kota Kinabalu, Wu Bangguo said China will encourage provinces and cities to conduct mutually-beneficial cooperation with Sabah. This will cover areas such as infrastructure, port construction and manufacturing.

 

  Top legislator, Wu Bangguo, says China will encourage enterprises to step up cooperation with Malaysia’s easternmost state of Sabah.

  Wu says the two sides should also aim to provide a further boost to the development of tourism in Sabah. Wu Bangguo stated that China has always taken a strategic and long-term perspective, in fostering bilateral ties with Malaysia. He says China will work with Malaysia to deepen political trust and win-win cooperation, beneficial to both peoples.

  Musa Aman called China Sabah State’s most important trading partner. Aman says Wu’s visit will help advance cooperation on investment, tourism, and agriculture, and provide a boost to the transformation of Sabah’s economy.
