General Office: The General Office is the Standing Committee's general administrative body. It works under the direction of the Secretary-General. It now operates the Bureau of Secretaries, the Research Office, the Liaison Bureau, the Foreign Affairs Bureau, the Information Bureau, the Letters and Visits Reception Bureau, the Personnel Bureau, the Administrative Bureau of the Departmental Affairs, the Administrative Bureau for the Great Hall of the People, the Training Center, the Information Center, and the Library, as well as research and consultative bodies under it.
Legislative Affairs Commission: The Legislative Affairs Commission is the Standing Committee's legislative body. It has the Administrative Office, the Office for Criminal Law, the Office for Civil Law, the Office for Economic Law, the Office for State Law, the Office for Administrative Law, the Office for Recording and Examining Laws, and the Research Office.
Budgetary Affairs Commission: The Budgetary Affairs Commission is the Standing Committee's budgetary supervision body. It has the Administrative Office, the Office for Examining the Budget and Final Accounts, the Legal Office, and the Research Office.
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Basic Law Committee and the Macao Special Administrative Region Basic Law Committee are also in place. The two committees’ responsibilities are respectively specified in each region’s respective Basic Law. They are mainly responsible for legal services that concern the basic laws.
Each of the Special Committees of the NPC also operates some working and administrative bodies to offer services to each of their own committees in line with their own needs.
