BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese top legislator Li Zhanshu met Tuesday with the President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man in Beijing.

Hailing that China and Vietnam are good neighbors and good comrades, Li, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, said the two sides had proactively implemented the consensus reached by leaders of the two parties and the two countries and pushed cooperation in various fields for new progress since the visit to Vietnam last November by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up, as well as the 10th anniversary of the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, Li said, calling on the two countries to jointly promote comprehensive win-win cooperation, especially in the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative and the "Two Corridors and One Economic Circle" plan, to build a community with a shared future of strategic importance.

The NPC is willing to strengthen exchanges with the VFF to make more contributions to China-Vietnam ties, Li said.
