China's top legislator meets Zimbabwean president

BEIJING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislator Li Zhanshu on Wednesday met with Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa after the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Li, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, said China is willing to work with Zimbabwe to implement the important consensus reached by the two countries' leaders and the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing summit, deepen cooperation in areas including infrastructure, energy, and finance, strengthen inter-party communication, and continuously enrich the China-Zimbabwe comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership.

Noting that the fruitful outcomes of the summit will benefit African countries, Mnangagwa said Zimbabwe will seize the opportunity to deepen pragmatic cooperation with China in various fields in an all-around way.
