Top legislator Wu Bangguo meets Vietnam guests

Top legislator Wu Bangguo met here on Monday with Huynh Dam, president of the Mat Tran to Guoc Vietnam (Fatherland Front of Vietnam), vowing to push forward relations between the neighboring countries.

Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), said China valued its relations with Vietnam. The sound growth of bilateral relations produced concrete benefits for the two peoples.

Wu hoped that the two neighbors would further increase friendly exchanges between political parties, parliaments, governments and cities, in a bid to push forward pragmatic cooperation and promote the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation.

Dam expressed his appreciation for China's achievements in the past 30 years of reform and opening up.

The Fatherland Front of Vietnam would increase exchanges and cooperation with all circles from China, so as to cement the traditional friendship and promote the growth of Vietnam-China relations, he noted.
