China would like to promote cooperation with Vietnam in line with the principles set by the leaders of the two nations and push forward neighborly friendship and partnership, a senior Chinese official said Monday.
Wang Zhaoguo, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, made the remarks while meeting with a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam.
To advance the China-Vietnam good-neighborly relationship and comprehensive cooperation conforms with the interests of the two nations, said Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
He hoped the communist youth leagues in both countries would increase exchanges and learn from each other to promote the cooperation between the nations.
Vo Van Thuong, first secretary of the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said the delegation would commit itself to building friendship between the two communist youth leagues and the young generation of the two countries.
