Executive chairpersons of the presidium of China's annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC) held a meeting Monday to hear a slew of reports including one on the modification of the draft amendment to the Criminal Procedure Law.
The meeting was presided over by Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the NPC.
Other documents presented to them included a report on the modification of the draft decision on deputy election for the 12th NPC, and two reports on the modification of the draft methods for the election of deputies to the 12th NPC from Hong Kong and Macao.
The chairpersons were also briefed on the deliberation and revision of the work reports of the NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
