The Second Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) is to hold its last meeting at 9:00 a.m. Friday.
The meeting is expected to adopt resolutions endorsing the government work report, the report on the work of the NPC Standing Committee, and the reports presented by the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
Also to be tabled for voting by nearly 3,000 lawmakers are resolutions accepting the report on the implementation of the 2008 plan for national economic and social development and on the 2009 plan, as well as the report on the implementation of the central and local budgets for 2008 and the 2009 central and local budgets.
Premier Wen Jiabao will meet the press at the end of the meeting.
