China is willing to increase imports from the United States and resume human rights dialogue with the U.S. side, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said Wednesday at a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing session of the National People's Congress.
"China is willing to increase imports from the U.S.. As a matter of fact, China is the fastest growing exports market for the United States," said Yang, citing United States' strict limitations on its high-tech products exports to China at the obstacle of bilateral trade.
He said that United States has directly benefited from Chinese exports despite trade imbalances.
"China has been a favored destination for international investment. Over 60 percent of Chinese products to the United States are made by foreign companies and joint ventures and many of them are U.S. companies," he said.
