BEIJING, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC) confirmed Saturday that Su Rong, a former senior political advisor, has been dismissed from his post as an NPC deputy.
Su, former vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, was disqualified as a deputy to the country's top legislature by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee on Sept. 25.
