Chinese president appoints new ambassadors

  BEIJING, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed six new ambassadors, a statement from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) said Thursday.

  Hu made the appointments in line with decisions made by the NPC Standing Committee.

  Wei Ruixing has been appointed ambassador to Namibia, replacing Ren Xiaoping.

  Yu Xuzhong has been appointed ambassador to Burundi, replacing Zeng Xianqi.

  Shen Zhifei has been appointed ambassador to Croatia, replacing Wu Lianqi.

  Sun Yuxi has been appointed ambassador to Poland, replacing Sun Rongmin.

  Sun Rongmin has been appointed ambassador to Slovenia, replacing Zhi Shaolin.

  Wang Min has been appointed deputy representative to the United Nations, replacing Liu Zhenmin.
