President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on December 15, 2006 in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
(1). Removing from office Cheng Tao the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Morocco; appointing Gong Yuanxing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Morocco.
(2). Removing from office Liu Yukun the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Guinea; appointing Huo Zhengde the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Guinea.
(3). Removing from office Sun Guoxiang the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives; appointing Ye Dabo the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives.
(4). Removing from office Song Aiguo the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey; appointing Sun Guoxiang the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey.
(5). Removing from office Shen Qing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana; appointing Zhang Jungao the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
(6). Removing from office Zhang Xianyi the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Zimbabwe; appointing Yuan Nansheng the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Zimbabwe.
(7). Appointing Wang Yingwu the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Chad.
