Appointments and removals of ambassadors to foreign nations announced by President Hu Jintao
President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on July 3, 2006 in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
(1). Removing from office Zhang Zhijian the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Finland; appointing Ma Keqing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Finland.
(2). Removing from office Liu Guanren the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Samoa; appointing Shi Longzhuang the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Samoa.
(3). Removing from office Wu Congyong the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Bahrain; appointing Ma Keqing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
(4). Removing from office Tang Guoqiang the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Czech Republic; appointing Huo Yuzhen the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Czech Republic.
(5). Removing from office Wu Hailong the Representative and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Nations Office in Vienna and Other International Organizations; appointing Tang Guoqiang the Representative and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Nations Office in Vienna and Other International Organizations.
(6). Removing from office Zhang Yishan the Deputy Representative and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Nations; appointing Liu Zhenmin the Deputy Representative and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Nations.
