Appointments and removals of ambassadors to foreign nations announced by President Hu Jintao
President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on September 7, 2006 in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
(1). Removing from office Ma Enhan the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Portugal; appointing Gao Kexiang the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Portugal.
(2). Removing from office Guo Chongli the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Kenya; appointing Zhang Ming the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Kenya.
(3). Removing from office Luo Xingwu the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Jordan; appointing Gong Xiaosheng the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Jordan.
(4). Removing from office Chen Jinghua the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Suriname; appointing Su Ge the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Suriname.
(5). Removing from office Zhao Zhenyu the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Jamaica; appointing Chen Jinghua the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Jamaica.
