Appointments and removals of ambassadors to foreign nations announced by President Hu Jintao
President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on November 16, 2006 in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
(1). Removing from office Wang Yongqiu the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federal Republic of Nigeria; appointing Xu Jianguo the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
(2). Removing from office Wang Chuangui the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia; appointing Cheng Yonghua the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia.
(3). Removing from office Deng Shaoqin the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Oman and Sudan; appointing Pan Weifang the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Oman and Sudan.
(4). Removing from office Zhang Zhijun the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates; appointing Gao Yusheng the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates.
(5). Removing from office Ye Dabo the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Dominica; appointing Deng Boqing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Dominica.
(6). Removing from office Yang Qiang the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federated States of Micronesia; appointing Liu Fei the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federated States of Micronesia.
