Appointments and removals of ambassadors to foreign nations announced by President Hu Jintao

President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on March 17, 2006 in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

(1). Removing from office Zhen Jianguo the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Denmark; appointing Xie Hangsheng the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Denmark.

(2). Removing from office Wang Xiaoyuan the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Equatorial Guinea; appointing Li Zhongliang the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Equatorial Guinea.

(3). Removing from office Wang Yongzhan the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of East Uruguay; appointing Wang Xiaoyuan the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of East Uruguay.

(4). Removing from office Chen Duqing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste; appointing Su Jian the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

(5). Removing from office Li Zhengjun the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Papua New Guinea; appointing Wei Ruixing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Papua New Guinea.
