President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on April 14, 2006 in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
(1). Removing from office Qi Jianguo the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; appointing Hu Qianwen the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
(2). Removing from office Hong Jiuyin the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Estonia; appointing Xie Junping the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Estonia.
(3). Removing from office Jiang Yuande the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Brazil; appointing Chen Duqing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Brazil.
(4). Appointing Zhao Jinjun the Concurrent Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Monaco.
