President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on January 23, 2006 in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
(1). Removing from office Zhou Xiaopei,the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Kazakhstan; appointing Zhang Xiyun the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
(2). Removing from office Chen Meifen,the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Seychelles; appointing Geng Wenbing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Seychelles.
(3). Removing from office Hu Qianwen, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Cambodia; appointing Zhang Jinfeng the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
(4). Appointing Lu Shaye the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Senegal.
