President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on December 27, 2005, in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
(1). Removing from office Ji Yanchi, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Latvia; appointing Zhang Limin the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Latvia.
(2). Removing from office Gao Shanhai, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Tonga; appointing Hu Yeshun the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Tonga.
(3). Removing from office Zhang Xiyun, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Azerbaijan; appointing Zhang Haizhou the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
