President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries on January 17, 2005, in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
(1). Removing from office Sun Yuxi,the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Afghanistan; appointing Liu Jian the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Afghanistan.
(2). Removing from office Hua Junduo,the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of India; appointing Sun Yuxi the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of India.
(3). Removing from office Li Qiangmin, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Uganda; appointing Fan Guijin the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Uganda.
(4). Removing from office Wang Xinshi, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Benin; appointing Li Beifen the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Benin.
(5). Removing from office Jiang Zhengyun, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Iceland; appointing Wang Xinshi the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Iceland.
(6). Removing from office Lin Difu, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Botswana; appointing Jiang Zhengyun the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Botswana.
(7). Removing from office Xu Jianguo, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia; appointing Wang Kaiwen the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia.
(8). Removing from office Tang Zhenqi, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Greece; appointing Tian Xuejun the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Greece.
(9). Removing from office Jiao Dongcun, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas; appointing Li Yuanming the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
(10). Removing from office Mai Guoyan, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Republic of Peru; appointing Duan Hengmin the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Republic of Peru.
