Appointments and removals of ambassadors to foreign nations announced by President Hu Jintao

President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries, on December 7, 2005, in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

(1). Removing from office Wu Hongbo, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Philippines; appointing Li Jinjun the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Philippines.

(2). Removing from office Chen Mingming, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to New Zealand and to the Cook Islands; appointing Zhang Yuanyuan the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to New Zealand and to the Cook Islands.

(3). Removing from office Yang Honglin, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Iraq; appointing Li Huaxin the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Iraq.

(4). Removing from office Sha Hailin, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ireland; appointing Zhang Xinsen the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ireland.

(5). Removing from office Xu Zhongkai, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moldova; appointing Gong Jianwei the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moldova.

(6). Removing from office Zhang Limin, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Cyprus; appointing Zhao Yali the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Cyprus.
