President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China announced the appointments and removals from office the following ambassadors to foreign countries on August 6, 2005, in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
Removing from office Yang Zhikuan, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Barbados; appointing Liu Huanxing the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Barbados.
Removing from office Hu Shouqin,the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Zambia; appointing Li Baodong the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Zambia.
