You are cordially invited to attend a press briefing held by the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) in Taiwan Hall of the Great Hall of the People at 16:00, Saturday, August 29, 2015.
The 16th session of the 12th NPC Standing Committee, which started Monday, is reviewing the draft amendment to the Criminal Law, the draft revision of the Air Pollution Control Law, the bill on revising the Law on Promoting the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements, the draft decision on an official pardon to prisoners who meet a certain criteria and the draft amendment to the Organic Law of the Local People’s Congresses and the Local People’s Governments, to the Measure for Election of Deputies and to the Law on Deputies to the National People’s Congress and to the Local People’s Congresses at Various levels. If the drafts are approved by the session, officials from the Legislative Affairs Commission of the NPC Standing Committee will be invited to answer questions from the press over the new laws.
You are kindly reminded that there will be no interpretation for the press briefing. Please raise your questions in Chinese.
If interested, you may pick up the invitation letters and parking permits from the Information Bureau of the General Office of the NPC Standing Committee (Address: No.1 Qianmen West Street, Xicheng District) by showing your valid press card before 5:00 p.m., August 28, 2015.
Please show invitation letters to enter the North Gate of the Great Hall of the People and park your cars at the North Gate with the parking permits.
