Wang Guosheng was elected governor of central China's Hubei Province Saturday at the fourth session of the 11th provincial People's Congress, the local legislature.
Wang, born in 1956, was a native of Dong'e County of east China's Shandong Province. He was transferred to Hubei from Jiangsu Province in December 2010 to be acting governor.
Li Hongzhong, former governor of Hubei, was elected as the head of the local legislature.
