SHENYANG, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Wenyue resigned Tuesday from the post of standing committee director of the provincial people's congress of Liaoning, northeast China.
The resignation was approved at a standing committee meeting of the provincial people's congress.
Zhang Wenyue, 66, formerly Liaoning Party chief, was appointed vice chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Environment Protection and Resources Conservation Committee on Dec. 26, 2009.
