Wang, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met with Deputy Speaker of Parliament of Lithuania Alfredas Pekeliunas. They discussed the parliamentary exchange and its role in promoting Asia-Europe cooperation.
ASEP, initiated in 1996 and held every two years in Asia and Europe in turn, is aimed at enhancing mutual understanding between Asia and Europe through increased dialogues among parliaments.
