5th plenary meeting of the First Session of the 11th NPC was held to elect new leaders. At the meeting, Wu Bangguo was elected chairman of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee on Saturday morning at the ongoing annual session of Chinese top legislature.
