Farmers in Tohlung Dechen County, Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, held a traditional activity titled "hitting oxen's horn with stones" Tuesday, the seventh day of traditional Tibetan Lunar New Year.

The outdoor match requires every village to send ten representatives to play three rounds, each one throwing stones three times. Villagers believe that the event would bring them good luck and good harvest all year round if they hit the horn.
This activity is intended to celebrate the traditional Tibetan New Year as well as to pray for good weather for crops.
