The First Session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) will hold a press conference at 11:00 a.m today in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
The spokesperson for the session will answers questions from journalists during the press conference.
A total of 2,987 deputies to the 12th NPC, China's national legislature, have been elected and are awaiting final confirmation.
The new leadership of the NPC National Committee will be elected at the upcoming legislative session, and a government reorganization plan, targeting bureaucracy in the economy, will be presented to lawmakers for review.
