The Dalai Lama is "by no means a religious figure, but a political figure," Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said here Saturday.
The Dalai Lama and his followers insisted to establish the so-called "Great Tibet" on one quarter of the Chinese territory by driving away the Chinese armed forces station there and the people from other ethnic groups who have lived there fore generations. "Do you think such a person a religious figure?" Yang asked at a press conference.
