The Second Session of the 14th National People's Congress(NPC) will hold its second plenary session at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Great Hall of the People (GHP).
Journalists with accredited cards are advised to access via the first passage to the south of the Eastern Entrance of the GHP, with sufficient leading time (90 minutes) to security clearance.
Journalists with No. 2 on their press cards shall have access to the SECOND floor(section 3, 5 and 7), Likewise, those with No. 3 on the press card will take seats on the THIRD floor(section 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9).
Please note that live media coverage on all floors has to stop five minutes before the start of the meeting and please keep quiet during the meeting.
Media officers from HongKong and Macao and with embassies may access the GHP via the same route as journalists and take seats at the same sections on the SECOND floor.
Before and after the meeting, media are encouraged to operate in the area below the steps outside the Eastern Entrance (excluding the road to the west of Tiananmen Square and on the steps outside the Eastern Entrance) and the area outside the GHP. All interviews should be wrapped up 15 minutes before the start of the meeting to avoid affecting the entry and exit of the deputies.
Media vehicles should access Tiananmen Square via the southeast end of the Square and park at the designated area.
