BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Chen Zhili, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, Tuesday met with the outgoing United Nations official Khalid Malik.
Malik is UN Resident Coordinator and UN Development Program Representative in China.
Before coming to China in 2003, the veteran UN official served around the world in places including Uzbekistan in central Asia, Guyana in Latin America, and in Africa as well.
