Chinese president appoints two new ambassadors

BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed two new ambassadors in accordance with a decision by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, said a statement from the national legislature Friday.

Wu Haitao has been appointed ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain and the Principality of Andorra as well, replacing Lyu Fan.

Tang Songgen has been appointed ambassador to the Republic of Kiribati.
